Scripted Network Animation, the Ugly Years

I’m a step closer to releasing the code to build network animations using the Gephi Toolkit.  This video, while much uglier than my earlier ones, is distinguished in that every change to the running layout is set up through cues such that you can switch the gravity, edge weight influence, scale or what-have-you at a designated frame of the animation.  The next thing to do is create as clean a system for the filters and then, finally, building some sort of tweening system for the changes in size and color.

This may all be moot depending on the results of a GSoC project focused on improving the dynamic graph manipulation and output of Gephi–including a possible movie export feature.
